A woman was knocked unconscious and may have had her jaw broken after “rejecting the advances” of a man in Mitcham town centre at the weekend.
The 23-year-old woman was the victim of what police are calling an “unprovoked attack” outside the Barclays Bank on Upper Green East shortly before midnight on Friday, March 4.
The man, who was in a group of three males, punched the woman after she rejected his advances, knocking her momentarily unconscious.
The woman, who was with another female friend, remains in hospital with a suspected broken jaw and a cut to her chin.
Police have issued CCTV images of three men they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

The main suspect is described as black man between 17 and 20 years-old.
He has a short 'box style' haircut, and was wearing a black-hooded jacket, black trousers, and navy blue trainers.
