Employees in blue wigs de-stigmatising mental health raised £800 for charity outside Wimbledon station.

A group from office interior design company Peldon Rose encouraged people to open up about mental health as part of Mind’s Time to Talk initiative.

They spent several hours talking to people about the importance of discussing mental health.

Back in the office in Worple Road, staff met for tea, cake and took a quiz on mental well-being.

They also collected bags of unwanted clothes to donate to Mind’s charity shops.

The team collected about £800 in charity donations on Thursday, February 4.

Benjamin Murray, charity chairman and head of marketing at Peldon Rose, said: “Peldon Rose passionately believes that businesses have a vital role to play in ensuring the well-being of their employees.

"Part of this is making changes to the working environment where necessary and opening up discussions around mental health to tackle the growing issue of stress and mental health problems in the workplace.”

The event was held as part of a number planned to raise £20,000 this year for mental health charity Mind.
