A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of Dwaine Douglas in Thornton Heath.

The man, from the Thornton Heath area, is being held at a south London police station where he is being questioned by detectives.

Dwaine, from Tulse Hill, died an hour after admitting himself to Mayday Hospital, Thornton Heath.

Officers believe he had been involved in a fight involving a number of teenagers near the Tesco car park in Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath, at around 10pm on Friday.

Mr Douglas arrived at the hospital with a 16-year-old who was treated for a slash wound to his arm and discharged.

The 16-year-old was later questioned by officers investigating Mr Douglas's death, which police are treating as murder, but later bailed.

Two other teens, one aged 16 and another 19, were arrested at the hospital and also bailed.

The area around Parchmore Road falls under a police dispersal order, which remains in force until August.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call the incident room at Lewisham on 020 8721 4868 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
