Children’s TV star Sid Sloane dropped by the Children’s Trust in Tadworth for their fundraising pyjama party for children with brain injury.

The much-loved entertainer – who holds the distinction of being CBeebies’ longest-running presenter – took part in the party, which is the charity’s largest annual campaign.

The 48-year-old said: “The Children's Trust is a fantastic place that helps hundreds of young people affected by brain injury.

“Getting to meet the children at the rehabilitation centre was great fun and very humbling.”

The pyjama parties – part of Humphrey’s National Pyjama Week – raise money for the Children’s Trust as £2 is donated for every child who wears pyjamas all day.

Mr Soane said: “Humphrey’s Pyjama Week is a great way that everyone can get involved in helping to raise some money for a good cause, where every penny makes a difference to these children.

“And you get to stay in your pyjamas during the day – what more can I say?”
