Multimillion-pound water works will be causing traffic jams from Monday.
Traffic will be moving slowly in parts of Cobham, Leatherhead and south Croydon as Sutton and East Surrey Water starts laying new pipes.
Stoke Road and Station Road in Cobham and Randalls Crescent in Leatherhead will have temporary traffic lights, while Princes Avenue in Croydon will be closed completely.
Sutton and East Surrey Water has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the work, which is expected to last a month.
