A Wallington woman who drinks a Guinness a day celebrated her 100th birthday in style.
Alice Patten celebrated her centenary surrounded by friends and family at Wallington Medical Centre.
But despite her age the former Moyses Stevens florist takes no medicine, opting instead for a glass of Guinness every day on the orders of her doctor, Dr TK Halder.
Her daughter Brenda, who lives in Spitfire Road, Wallington, with her mother, said: "She still has all her marbles and is 100 per cent with it, and it's still lovely to be able to go out and about with her.
"My mum still loves her shopping and likes a good dress, and she enjoys showing them off on her birthdays."
Mrs Patten celebrated her birthday on Wednesday, September 2.
