A man who jumped onto the tracks at Sutton train station was rescued by a member of staff.
An off-duty British Transport Police officer at the station escorted the man out after the Southern worker leapt into action.
Another Southern Railway staff member described the man as being 'unwell.'
The London Ambulance Service said it was called at about 11.20am today and that paramedics treated the man before taking him to hospital. He was uninjured.
