A man wearing far too much aftershave is being hunted by police for assaulting a female dog walker in the early hours.

A woman in her forties was grabbed by a man in King George’s Recreation Park, Morden, before being pushed to the ground.

The man grabbed at her jacket before running off towards Aragon Road at about 6.15am on Thursday, June 25.

The woman had been walking her dog when she was pushed to the floor from behind, police said.

Her attacker is described as a white male with tanned, possibly olive skin, around 6ft, and is in his mid to late twenties.

He had dark eyes, dark stubble and was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood pulled up and dark trousers or tracksuit bottoms.

The smell of his aftershave was overpowering.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in the area at the time.
