A care company that supports people in Richmond with dementia has appointed its first admiral nurse.
Rikki Lorenti will seek to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and will work with their family carers to help improve communication and maintain relationships.
The admiral nurse role was developed by Dementia UK and the charity has worked with SweetTree Home Care Services to recruit for the roles.
Mr Lorenti, the first admiral nurse to work in south-west London, said: "I am really excited to be the first admiral nurse in Richmond and Twickenham.
"My work will help families to bridge the gaps between health and social care, navigate the support available and, most importantly, let people know that they are not alone in their experiences."
