A 20-year-old man from Mitcham has been charged with preparing to go to Somalia to join Islamist militant group Al-Shabaab.
Trevor Mulindwa has been charged under section five of the Terrorism Act.
His registered address is Hallowell Close, around the corner from Commonside East and Mitcham Common.
Mulindwa is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
