World gone dotty for Kate Moss

Dotted paintings of Croydon supermodel Kate Moss are proving so popular that artist Paul Normansell is having to create more.

Paul, who is well-known for his ultra modern gloss on aluminium paintings, counts the likes of Pete Tong, Daniel Beddingfield and Kelly Osborne among his fans.

He has recently been sucked into the glossy world of fashion magazines - so much so that he decided to paint the portraits of Kate in bright gloss paint.

The results have been extremely popular, with just one of his creations left for sale, but Paul is producing more.

"The images I use are taken from magazines that portray perfect, flawless images of models," he said.

"This helps me to create a perfect likeness and because of the perfect and plastic like finish of gloss and the meticulous execution, the paintings are almost doll like in appearance, the same way the media create an image of the icon."
