Good-natured Mole, his boating friend Ratty and lovable rogue Mr Toad are being brought to life this winter in Epsom.

The beloved characters of children’s classic the Wind in the Willows will perform in a musical adaptation at Epsom Playhouse in February.

Immersion Theatre and Cambridge Touring Theatre have joined forces to put on what is billed as a "larger-than-life" production.

Director James Tobias, co-founder of Immersion Theatre, said the Playhouse is very close to his heart because he performed in a school production there.

Mr Tobias said: "I trod the boards at the Epsom Playhouse in February 2002 and this will be my first time back since then!

"We are also looking to begin a relationship with the local community and bring high quality, critically-acclaimed theatre at an affordable price so it would be wonderful to have the community's support in return."
