Ashford Hospital holds its first cancer support day later this month.
Speakers from a range of disciplines will present helpful and practical sessions and specialist cancer nurses will to talk one-to-one, offering advice or to discuss concerns.
Sarah Burton, lead cancer clinician, said: "We hope the event will build a network amongst patients and healthcare professionals alike and facilitate a two-way learning process. We also hope the day will support carers who may feel isolated by providing an opportunity to meet fellow carers and share their experiences."
In addition to the programme of speakers, there will be representatives from other cancer support organisations including MacMillan Cancer Support, Crest, the Roy Castle Foundation, Beating Bowel Cancer and Carers' UK to offer guidance and information.
The day will be at Ashford Hospital, post graduate centre on Wednesday, February 25, from 9.30am to 4pm. Call Debbie Stonell on 01932 722851 or email debbie.stonell@asph.nhs.uk to book a place.
