Putney commuters woke up to a Ford Fiesta hanging off a telephone box this morning.
The phone box was almost knocked to the ground
Police said the black Fiesta and a grey Saab were involved in a collision in Upper Richmond Road at about 5.30am.
Some Boris bikes nearby were also damaged and engineers were called out to fix the system.
The London Ambulance Service was called to a man, reported to be in his 40s. His injuries were not thought to be serious.
The collision caused traffic delays during the morning rush hour.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 5.32am to reports of a collision at Upper Richmond Road. Two vehicles were involved – a Saab and Ford Focus.
“There was damage to road side property, namely a phone box and the electrical system leading to the Boris bikes.

"As a result of that engineers were called out to ensure public safety. One man was spoken to at the scene. LAS were called. The man’s injuries are not thought to be serious. Enquiries continue.”
