Do you have a great idea with the potential to make a difference to the lives of others, but do not have the money to launch it?

The council, working alongside Surrey County Council, will provide up to £1,000 to support vulnerable people within the community.

The fund welcomes applications from individuals, community groups or organisations. The deadline for applications in noon on March 17, 2015.

Councillor Christine Elmer, the social affairs portfolio holder, said: "Following the first successful funding round, we are pleased to invite the local voluntary sector organisations to come forward again with some exiting ideas.

"In the first round successful projects included counselling for carers, drop-in sessions for older people and volunteering for old people."
