The Wombles returned to Wimbledon for a special occasion yesterday – a BookFest sing-a-long.
Children and parents packed into the William Morris tent in Wimbledon Common for the event hosted by musician and writer Julian Butler.
Although the litter-pickers themselves did not appear, they were there in spirit.
The story-telling and sing-a-long session is a festival favourite suitable for all ages.
Another sing-a-long will be held on Sunday, October 12. To book tickets, visit the website.
