Shoppers proved not to be 'Bisto' friends after two families got into a spot of beef in Asda's gravy aisle.
Sutton police said two women were arrested for assault after a disagreement between families on Saturday September 27 at around 3.45pm.
The verbal exchanges in the aisle built up before spilling over into the Beddington Lane store's foyer when 15-year-old girl was said to have been punched.
Police arrested two women, aged 37 and 58, on suspicion of assault.
They have been bailed to return to Sutton Police Station in November pending further enquiries.
