A museum is appealing for photographs, objects and memories from World War I.

Bourne Hall Museum, in Spring Street, Ewell, wants to preserve the information for future generations through its displays, collections and website.

David Brooks, museum assistant, said: "We do not just want soldiers, but nurses and anyone whose life was changed by the war or changed their work for the war effort.

"The museum is part of an information web of 2,000 museums in 69 countries building a worldwide store of information while it is still possible while family stories and keepsakes still survive."

It will use photographs to create a wall of faces in October and will add information to the Imperial War Museum’s website on the war.
