Firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled a car fire on the M25 last night.

Three fire engines were called to the blaze on the anticlockwise side of the motorway between junction 10 and junction 9, at Leatherhead, at 10.30pm.

A Leatherhead fire station spokesman said: "We had to use two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to put it out. There wasn’t an accident so I imagine it was an electrical fault."
