A number of houses were damaged this week after stormy weather hit Croydon.

On Monday and Thursday night high winds and heavy rain caused chaos as fallen trees blocked roads and railways lines.

A number of houses were flooded and in the early hours of Christmas Eve more than 200 hundred passengers were left stranded after their train hit a landslide near Coulsdon South station.

Cars and houses were also damaged as a result of the storm.

After more high winds and rain on Thursday night, travellers are facing another day of long delays and cancellations.
