Crystal Palace are turning their attentions to France as they look to bolster their Premier League squad.

The Eagles have already brought in French left back Florian Marange on a free transfer from Bordeaux and now they are looking to raid their Ligue 1 counterparts Sochaux, who finished 15th in the table last season.

Palace scouts travelled to Sochaux on Friday to watch strikers Sloan Privat and Cedric Bakambu in action as well as midfielder Ryad Boudebouz, who scored a penalty, won by Bakambu, in a 3-1 defeat to Lyon.

All three have come through the Sochaux youth ranks with Privat understood to be the main target. The 24-year-old has scored 44 goals in 146 appearances, including 22 when on loan Ligue 2 side Clement Foot three seasons ago. He is out of contract next summer and is valued at around £2m.

Algerian international Boudebouz, 23, has been linked with both Inter Milan and Aston Villa this summer and has scored 29 goals in 179 games for the Ligue One side.

He played against England at the last World Cup, coming off the bench in a goalless draw and is also entering the final year of his contract.

Bakambu is slightly younger at 22 and he has represented France at U18, U19 and U20 level. He has 14 goals in 74 appearances.
