Green-fingered gardeners got together for an annual flower show in Thames Ditton.
Back for the 96th year, the Esher Molesey Garden Society held its show once again at St Nicholas Church Hall on Saturday, August 17.
Despite a dip in the number of entries this year, judges said the quality of the exhibits was good and the arrangements of flowers and produce filled the hall with a sea of colours and textures.
A steady flow of visitors bustled around the tables to view the entries and, after observing the finest crops from around the borough, visitors were treated to a slice of cake and a cup of tea.
Scooping the most points in all classes was horticulture guru Tony Lamb, who also won the same award at last year’s show.
Mr Lamb also picked up the Banksian medal and Esher Molesey Garden Society certificate for best rose in the show.
Margaret Woodrow won the National Vegetable Society certificate for best vegetable in the show, while Gerald Smith picked up the National Dahlia Society silver certificate for best dahlia in the show.
The afternoon came to a close with the presentation of awards and the much anticipated raffle draw.
