Epsom's MP will be "ready to push the button" on a campaign to protect Epsom Hospital’s A&E, maternity and children's units if proposals to axe the services are approved for public consultation.
Speaking to the Epsom Guardian, Chris Grayling MP said 50 people attended a meeting of the steering group of the Save Epsom Hospital campaign last night to become "active organisers of the campaign going forward".
He said: "We discussed tactics and made preparations for what’s going to be done when we know the consultation will be going ahead.
"We will be ready to push the button within a few days if necessary.
"There are plans for rallies, street stalls, and a leaflet-dropping campaign in the area."
