A range of events will be taking place in Crystal Palace in celebration of Fairtrade Fortnight.

A food fight at The Antenna Café Thing, off Westow Street, will kick off The Big Crystal Palace Food Fest event at 7.30pm on Monday, February 25.

The debate will revolve around food, with topics including 'Should local be our main priority?' and 'What about farmers in developing countries?' among the topics discussed.

Chocoholics should beware on Tuesday, February 26, when two films on chocolate that promise to make you think twice before buying your next bar will be shown at Twenty Five bar on Westow Hill.

The Food Fest Day on Saturday March 2, will give residents the chance to cycle their way to their own Fairtrade smoothie, on a bicycle powered smoothie machine, which will be outside Sainsbury's between 11am and 3pm.

Upper Norwood Library will host a shadow puppet show for children at 3pm, explaining what life is like for children on two different cocoa plantations.

After the show tasty bites will be on offer with taster workshop programme's covering a range of topics taking place every 15 minutes from 3.30pm until 5.15pm.

From 8 until late, the Westow House pub will host Foodstock and on Sunday March 3, The 'Hungry Gap' Dinner will take place at Domali Restaurant, offering a fairtrade three course meal.
