Football fans got a taste of the Superbowl this weekend with the performance of some NFL cheerleaders.

Crystal Palace’s popular cheerleaders welcomed their overseas equivalent from the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars at the weekend.

The NFL cheerleaders entertained both sets of supporters as part of the half-time entertainment as Palace beat London rivals Charlton 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Jackson DeVille, the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot, was also at the game to meet fans and endeared himself to the home support.

The mascot, much to the delight of Palace fans, caused some mischief for the away side.

At half time he pretended to wee in the opposition goal and pretended to put a spell on Charlton’s goal when Palace were 1-0 down.

It certainly worked, with Palace scoring two second half goals courtesy of Glenn Murray.
