Glamour model and bestselling novelist Katie Price is coming to Croydon to sign her latest book.

Price, better known as model Jordan, will be signing her new book Angel Uncovered at Waterstones in the Whitgift Centre on Saturday, July 19 at 11am.

The book is the third instalment about Angel Summer, a character who is Britain's top glamour model and married to a footballer.

The continuing story has Angel's marriage in crisis, with all the highs and lows along the way.

Why do you have to be a 'chav' to appreciate what a hard-working and caring person Katie Price is..... Don't judge her on her modelling career. This woman has to put with so much having to deal with her ill son and also juggle her career round him. I have a lot of time for Katie Price and she is a role model for many a young woman. Her career choice may not be to everyone's liking, but as a person and a mother there is no better than Katie. If you don't respect her for being a model, at least give her some respect for the way she copes with her son's illness.

What right do you lot have to comment on how she made her money?! Most of her modelling esp the topless stuff was done when she was younger and you lot never complained looking at the photos!! Give her a break, she's an amazing mother and a hard working person, how the hell would you have dealt with Harvey's illness? None of you know her life and no before anyone says it, neither do I. You've got to respect her for the way she cares for her children. If I wasn't working, I'd go down there to meet her, she's amazing!

Fine. She's a good Mum but I'm not going to take my hat off to her for that! Every mother SHOULD be a great Mum.

I really don't think Katie Price is a good role model. OK so she has made a lot of money doing this.. and milking every last bit of it, but would you really want your teenage daughter coming to you saying:

"Mum, Dad, I want the world to oggle over my body... Please may I have a boob job?"

I'd hit the roof.

I'm not sure I would put Katie in the "role model" bracket. However, she's certainly more worthwhile than Katona or that minger Jodie Marsh. However she started, she obviously has some serious business acumen, she is never out of the papers and must now be worth an absolute fortune, not all of us could achieve that. I dont really have an opinion about showing off her body, not something I would choose or would like my daughter to do but thats my choice. Whatever people say about her, she does come across as a great mum, being in the public eye and being a mum to a child with no disability must be quite a pressure.. Let those who want to go see her do so, those that dont approve dont have to go ! Despite how she made her money I've got loads of admiration for her.

Role model for young women? buy yourself twin airbags, plaster yourself in a ton of make up and wear very little all the time in order to be noticed? come on, there are a lot better women out there for young women to have as role models who have develop their brains, not have silicone implants and fake tans!

There are tousands of succesful, talented, intellegent mothers both living and dead that our kids can worship instead of washed out druggies like Amy Winehouse (yes she is a talented musicain), out of control Britneys and untalented chav mothers like Jordan. In my defence to Jordan, anyone can get their tits out. Lots of girls do it and dont make a fortune like she has. Never mind the fact she isnt the prettiest woman in the industry, she must have some intelligence to still make it bigger than the rest of the hundred of other girls who have had implants and all the rest of it.
Besides, shes rolling in it so doubt she really cares what anyone thinks really!

Modelling is a career like any other. Nothing wrong with it. In England a lot of women think one has to deliberately make oneself look ugly in order to prove one has brains. Make up is essential - why look like a dried up old hag?

I think she is extremely attractive and a good role model. In Latin countries women always try to look their best. In England a lot of female office staff are "cross-dressers" - they "power dress" and try to look like men. Why dress in black? Why not wear make-up? We should all endeavour to look as sexy as possible. That is why we are female.

OK lets go back to a statement by P Andre above shall we...her books are Ghost written...Wikipedia states that..A ghostwriter is a professional writer who is paid to write books, articles, stories, reports, or other content which are officially credited to another person. In other words this is book is not her hard work. Oh and J Probert, I have a degree, I work hard and earn good money so my money is earned doing something instead of sweet f a (OOOO I love a good debate, thanks everyone :)) )

She might be attractive is she didnt look like she has been tangoed !

But I agree with you Anne (not often I say that), women should certainly make the most of the assets and thats exactly what she has done, as well as being a cracking mum as far as anyone can tell. Love her or hate her, she loves her family and that gets my vote !

So, she possibly uses a ghost writer? Probably a good deal for the writer I expect. If he or she published the books themselves sales would probably be mediocre. Attach Jordan's name to them and suddenly we are talking big money. Win-win really.

As for Jordan being a good mother - I am yet to be convinced. A number of newspaper reports have contradicted the image she projects. In the end it is exactly that - an image. Only those close to her will know. Having said that, a mother who works a full time job on hardly any money and brings up children who become successful decent adults is a true role model.

Does Jordan need to be intelligent? No, of course not. She will pay people to do that for her. Agents, advisors, whatever. She can just sit at home and wait for them to come to her with the next deal they've arranged.

Anne Giles. On this topic Anne you have excelled yourself, I could not agree with you more, woman dress up like men or just dont bother trying. When they try to look good they get treated bably or disrespected. Women are femanine and Men are Masculine, End Of Story. Not a great fan of Katie but I wish her the best, I know she is a keen Equestrian apparently.

Why not combine the two? Looking good can make one feel good. I was bullied in my first marriage and I felt like a complete wreck. I went to stay at my brother's for two weeks, had my ears pierced, changed my hair, bought some clothes and ended up feeling tons better. It also gave me the courage to get out.

Whatever her lifestyle she is a good mother... and the journalist needs to know a bit more about her... since when is she married to a footballer??? Harveys dad was a football player, Peter ANdre is not! Say what you like about her some people like her ,cannot fault her as a mother,I have a lot of admiration for her, only wish i had managed to see her... and not to perv over her like most males!
