A Streatham gang member has been jailed for seven years for his part in an attack which left one man dead and another two seriously injured.
Mayuran Srivinayagem, 25, from Greyhound Terrace, was cleared last month by an Old Bailey jury of killing Sri-Lankan Prabaskaran Kannan,28, in a frenzied stabbing attack in a Tooting fast food restaurant.
On Monday he was sentenced for attacks on two men in the same gang-related incident in Chicken Cottage in Tooting High Road on June 15 last year.
He had pleaded guilty during his trial to GBH relating to Naresh Mylvaganam, 23, who was smashed round the head with a cricket bat, and ABH relating to Arunan Thanabalasingham, 22, who was given a broken tooth.
The night of the attacks, he and four other members of Croydon-based Tamil gang the Jaffna Boys chased three rival Sri-Lankans through the restaurant armed with knives, sticks and broken bottles before setting upon them.
The four other men were convicted for the murder of Mr Kannan who suffered 31 stab and slash wounds, and were given life sentences.
They were also convicted of the GBH of Mr Mylvaganam and the ABH of Mr Thanabalasingham, who were assaulted as they tried to escape.
