Goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan has become Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock's second signing of the day, and fourth of the summer.
The 29-year-old has joined on a free transfer from Southend United where he has spent the past eight years, and signed a three-year-deal.
He will rival Julian Speroni for the number one spot between the posts next season and his arrival has paved the way for young keeper Scott Flinders to leave the club.
Flahavan made 328 appearances for Southend during the course of his eight years there and has kept more clean sheets for the Shrimpers than any other keeper in their history.
