Wimbledon tennis star Marcus Willis has revealed his jaw dropped open when he first saw his new bride on their wedding day.
Marcus, who stunned the tournament earlier this year when he reached the second round to face Roger Federer on Centre Court despite being ranked 772 at the time, married Jenny Bate in a candlelit ceremony in the Cotswolds.
The couple met just nine months ago and are expecting their first baby in March.
The tennis player previously revealed the baby was conceived during the tournament.
The wedding ceremony took place at The Slaughters Manor House, followed by a blessing at St Mary Church in Lower Slaughter.
It was attended by 80 family and friends, including tennis pros and Jenny’s sons Hugo, four, and Auby, three.
Marcus, 26, told Hello! magazine: “It was the best day of my life. When Jenny walked up the aisle I probably had the same face as when I first met her – my jaw dropped open.
“She always looks gorgeous, but she was absolutely angelic. I’m so happy to finally be able to call her my wife.”
He added: “It’s hard to believe we have known each other less than a year – it feels like we’ve been together forever.”
Jenny, 30, who wore a Self Portrait gown, said: “It was perfect, magical. Everything fits into place and I feel complete contentment.
“Everything before I met Marcus doesn’t feel like my life. Now I can’t wait to be Mrs Willis.”
