Singer Jimmy Osmond, Strictly pro Gleb Savchenko and The Only Way Is Essex’s Amy Childs are among the eclectic mix of stars set to turn up the heat on Celebrity MasterChef.

The Jump competitor Sid Owen will also be making the leap to the less risky environment of the MasterChef kitchen.

There he will be joined by fellow ex-EastEnders star Laila Morse, who played Mo Harris, among the 20 famous faces signed up for upcoming series 11.

Following in the footsteps of last year’s winner Kimberly Wyatt and hoping they will not have to sing for their suppers are pop stars Sinitta, Blue’s Simon Webbe and Sugababe’s Amelle Berrabah, plus former Communard-turned-vicar Richard Coles.

Actress Donna Air will hope to have picked up some tips on dessert from ex-boyfriend James Middleton, who owns his own marshmallow company.

Meanwhile, Shameless actress Tina Malone, who lost 11 stone after gastric band surgery, will put her new cooking skills to the test.

Drawing in the younger audience will be YouTube vlogger Marcus Butler, who has previously collaborated with teen favourite Zoella, but dishy actor and presenter Alexis Conran might steal the mums’ vote.

Hoping not to drop the ball are three championship stars from the world of sport: Olympic gold medallist boxer Audley Harrison, former rugby world cup winner Neil Back and paralympic swimmer Liz Johnson.

Louise Minchin’s name may be synonymous with BBC Breakfast but hopefully she can rustle up more than just cereal for judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode. Or will nominative determinism work in favour for TV presenter Cherry Healey?

Completing the line-up are one half of famous comedy double act Cannon & Ball, Tommy Cannon, and TV antiques expert David Harper.

Across six weeks, the celebrities will have their abilities challenged, from the Mystery Box Test all the way to cooking a lavish five-course dinner for the Chelsea Pensioners to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. They will be let loose on the public too, tackling the Mass Catering Challenge at venues including Arsenal Football Stadium, Battersea Power Station and Bisham Abbey manor house.

Watch out for the return of last year’s finalists Rylan Clark-Neal and Sam Nixon among the judges as the culinary battle commences.
