The BBC One programme goes on tour each year with show favourites performing for votes from the audience and the judges after showcasing the moves they learned during the series.

Frankie Bridge and Thom Evans had already signed up to the tour, and now will be joined by recently-voted-out Alison, and current contestants Caroline and Mark.

According to Digital Spy, Alison said: “After the wonderful, warm reception I received from taking part in BBC’s Strictly, I’m thrilled to be part of the live tour.

“It’s going to be great fun to strut my stuff all across the country, but I am particularly excited that we will be opening the tour in Birmingham. I am counting on a great home crowd to get us off to a sparkling start.”

Mark added: “I’m going to make sure I put everything I have into each and every performance, so I need all the Strictly fans to come down and cheer me on.”

The Strictly Come Dancing live tour will run for 31 dates in January and February, starting at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on January 16.
