Rihanna has given five fans an unforgettable treat - a trip to Barbados and a dinner, according to reports.

The Talk That Talk singer, who has been announced as the face of Barbados, apparently wanted to make the generous gesture to the select few as a way of saying thank you to her followers for her success.

"She wanted to show them how grateful she was. She figured the best thank you was to cook them tea in her hometown," a source told The Sun.

Rihanna - who closed the BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend and Wireless festival in London - paid for the group's airfares and luxury accommodation at the exclusive Sandy Lane hotel and also ate with them at her own private home on the on the idyllic Caribbean island.

The 24-year-old, who received the honorary title for her work promoting the island and boosting tourism, will star in campaign adverts over the next three years from September.
