75 Stories triumph at RockStock75 Stories triumph at RockStock
Last Friday's RockStock belonged to the headliners, 75 Stories, who captivated all in attendance with their catchy pop punk music in the vein of bands like Blink 182 and Hit The Lights. They ploughed through their set, churning out quality covers such as Blink 182's "All The Small Things" and "Carousel", alongside some stellar original tracks like "Clubbing Sucks" and "Right On Time". They had loads of fans in the crowd, and those that weren't there to see them play were obviously won over by their pure energy and winning charm, as they strummed and plucked and smashed their way through the listeners ears.

The first band to take to the RockStock stage was a quartet by the name of Skorge. They opened the night in decent style, using melodic vocals, pounding drums, and soaring guitars. They were greeted well by the crowd, inciting the usual antics of moshing, and the less usual backflips.

Cold reception for The Men From UncoolCold reception for The Men From Uncool
First to brave the RockStock stage on the night of RockStock's fourth birthday was Room 253, the first solo act to perform at RockStock. Room 253, otherwise known as Gordon Shepard, mixes live music with loops and samples from an Apple laptop, with Gordon himself alternating between acoustic and electric guitars, synth work and keyboard. He pulled off a blinding set to begin the night, and did it alone, which to me makes him a courageous person.
