The first of many Jamaican music nights, with DJs and performers, took place at a Streatham pub on Sunday.
Jamaica Vibes, a new bi-monthly event, brings together several generations of music including reggae, ska and dub at the White Lion pub in Streatham High Road.
Frank Bryant, one of the organisers, said: “It was a good vibe. Everyone was up and dancing.”
DJs from Urban Jazz radio, including Mark Mason, played at the music event.
Mr Bryant said: “This night will help to bring together a diverse and a sophisticated clientele under one roof, and aim to celebrate as well as educate patrons about Jamaica and the UK’s rich and shared reggae heritage.”
