A Clapham pub’s kitchen is getting a two-month Thai takeover.
The King & Co in Clapham Park Road, which has previously hosted kitchen collaborations with pop-up chefs and street food traders including Allihopa and Fowl Mouths, will welcome Tem Ban throughout August and September.
For Tem Ban, the residency follows on from sell-out launch dinners at The Lido Café in Herne Hill and a series of pop-ups around south London.
The brand’s founder and head chef Craig Broadhurst has spent nearly a decade in professional kitchens and five years focussing on Thai cuisine, including at The Begging Bowl in Peckham and Andy Oliver’s Thai Grill at Bar Story.
The menu for Tem Ban’s residency at The King & Co combine traditional Thai ingredients and modern cooking techniques for dishes including Crispy Pigs’ Ears, Beef La Lot, Red Curry Fish Cakes and locally-sourced Whole Thai Steamed Fish.
Desserts include Pandan Ice Cream drizzled with coconut and palm sugar caramel whil bringes feature Banana Roti and a seasonal Fruit Salad with lemongrass infused syrup and watermelon granita.
The King & Co is also hold a special tap takeover by London Beer Factory from 7pm on Friday (August 5).
