At one stage he used to busk across south London and now Si Cranstoun is a regular on the airwaves.

Former The Dualers’ singer, whose solo album Modern Life was released to success earlier in the year, is returning to Croydon for a headline show at Fairfield Halls on September 25.

When he was young, Si and his brother Tyber busked all around Croydon, Sutton and Bromley as The Dualers rose to success with two top 30 hit.

Si even met his wife while busking in Croydon – she asked him to sign a CD and love blossomed.

As a solo artist, Si’s career has seen him open for Little Richard in Las Vegas.

His recent track Caught in Moonlight was A-listed by both Radio 2 and Magic FM and Si performed to acclaim on Chris Evans’ Breakfast show.

Tickets for his homecoming gig at Fairfield Halls on September 25 cost £12 or £5 students. Go to Fairfield.co.uk or call 020 86889291.
