The barbecue has come indoors this summer with a carnivore’s dream restaurant opening in Wandsworth Town.
MeatUp has launched in Old York Road with a promise to bring #ALittleSocialGrilling
Former Meatopia chef Stephen Hinkley has created a menu based on British ingredients alongside top butchers and farmers and takes centre stage himself in the open plan kitchen, talking guests through the menu.
MeatUp’s main draw is sharing plates, such as pig’s cheeks braised for four hours in Greenwich Meantime ale and 24-hour marinates short rib cooked for a further 12 hours, including over English Oak.
Sundays include sharing roasts for groups of four or more, including all the trimmings.
As well as sharers and brunches, the 50-cover all-day restaurant becomes a late night bar with a long prosecco and cocktail list, live music, DJs and Bring Your Own Vinyl nights.
