The Oscars 2015: Results
Congratulations to Eddie Redmayne for winning Best Actor Academy Award to add to his BAFTA.
This year’s Academy Awards was always going to be hard to call. There have been some outstanding performances particularly for us Brits who have two nominees in both the Best Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne) and Best Actress (Rosamund Pike and Felicity Jones) category. In fact were are only two American actresses up for Best Actress. Like many others I think that there were two other Brits that were overlooked for Best Actor nomination. Ralph Fiennes was brilliant in The Grand Budapest Hotel and David Oyelowo’s portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr. was outstanding.
