The Kapow! 2012 comic book convention is taking place on the 19th-20th May at the London Business Design Centre.

The convention is dedicated to comic-books and the TV shows and movies that they inspire and will have appearances from several A-list names.

Nick Frost, star of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul, will be taking part in a Q&A answering questions about his career so far and what he has planned for the future.

Jimmy Carr will be interviewing fellow comedian Frankie Boyle live about his love of geek culture.

TV-star Jonathan Ross alongside comic-book artist Bryan Hitch will be talking about their latest creation ‘Americas Got Powers’.

Comic-book giants, Marvel and DC, are attending their first UK convention in nearly two decades while Watchmen artist Dave Gibbons and Kick-Ass artist Mark Millar will also be speaking on panels and giving exclusive previews of upcoming works.

There will also be live interviews with comic-book stars Scott Snyder (Batman), Warren Ellis (Planetary), Sara Pichelli (Ultimate Spider-Man) and Frank Quitely (Batman) among others.

Budding comic-book writers and artists are encouraged to bring their portfolio along to the convention where it could be reviewed and possibly commissioned by editors from Marvel, DC, 2000AD and Clint.

Wear your own costume or perform a short skit in the cosplay competition and you could win VIP tickets for Kapow! 2013.

Last years convention sold out ahead of the event.

Tickets are only available in advance and through the website www.kapowcomicconvention.com.
