Zooming In on visual arts

Light projections, photography and short films exploring light, colour, movement and interaction will all be on show at Zooming In this Tuesday.

As part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival, the one day visual arts event is being put on by Action Space, London’s leading visual arts organisation for people with learning disabilities.

Artists from the company's Wandsworth Studio Projects, weekly visual arts workshops which take place at Studio Voltaire in Clapham, have created the site specific installation, with visitors invited to explore and interact with it as well as getting to meet some of the artists.

Action Space was launched in the 1960’s to provide arts based activities for people with learning disabilities and has an excellent reputation for running high quality visual arts projects.

It aims to create opportunities for creative development, self-expression, education and training offering a wide varitey of visual art activiy including painting, ceramics and sculpture.

On top of their studio in Clapham they also have spaces at Cockpit Arts in Central London and Croydon Clocktower.
