Crowds came from across Europe to Rise Gallery last summer and now it has announced its first exhibition of 2016.
The Banksy retrospective It Began on the Walls put Rise on the cultural map in July and August and now the gallery in St George’s Walk is giving a prolific needlework artist her first solo show.
An Unnatural History, from February 11 to March 10 will showcase the creations of Tina Crawford, whose extensive career in free embroidery illustration has seen her designing for iconic British institutions such as Shakespeare’s Globe, Kew Gardens and the Museum of London.
The exhibition focuses on skeletons – both real and fictitious – to explore myths against real syndromes from the eighteenth century to today.
