The Forces Sweethearts will be bringing their unique brand of music and song to the Harlequin Theatre on April 25.

Beryl, Carolyn and Jenny are the three sweethearts who will be bringing audiences a two-hour show with all the favourite songs from the great female vocalists who helped raise morale during World War Two. The trio will be singing favourites from Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields, Marlene Dietrich, Carmen Miranda and Anne Shelton, as well as a tribute to the demob sweethearts - artists like Alma Cogan, Ruby Murray, Doris Day and Eartha Kitt - which many will remember from the early days of the post-war years.

There will also be a sing-along with George Formby and his ukulele and songs from Flanagan and Allen. Singer Beryl Korman has worked with The Royal Opera in Covent Garden, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Operas, Scottish Opera and Opera North and toured extensively with Gilbert and Sullivan for All, Opera for All, London Concert Artists and Singers Unlimited. She has also appeared in BBC’s French and Saunders.
