One man and his keyboard will be providing the laughs at Fairfield Halls on Sunday as musical comedian James Sherwood brings his popular ramblings to the venue.
His show, At The Piano, is the first national tour for the Radio Four, Five Live and Sky TV regular having completed four sold-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival.
Always accompanied by his trusty keyboard, Sherwood avoids the well-worn path of song parodies and changed lyrics favoured by some other comedians and instead prefers to perform his own original compositions and self-contained ditties.
His television and radio credits include Radio Four shows The News Quiz and The Now Show, 6Music's Jon Richardson Show and BB2's Mock The Week.
He is also the creator and head writer for Radio Four's new panel show, I Guess That's Why They Call It The News, and makes regular appearances on the Richard Bacon Show and Sky's Evening Press Review.
James Sherwood, Fairfield Halls, Park Lane, January 31, 8pm, £15. Call 020 8688 9291 or visit fairfield.co.uk.
