Singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly checked into The Priory in Roehampton following her collapse earlier this week.

Concerns about the skinny singer's health have raged in the media with suggestions her hard living lifestyle is making her ill.

The 23-year-old, a former student at the Brit School in Croydon, went into rehab yesterday after being rushed to hospital on Wednesday.

Her dad Mitchell and mum Janis, who are separated, are thought to be with her Amy's father-in-law, retired businessman Lance Fielder, said his son Blake Fielder-Civil has spoken to him about his concerns.

Mr Fielder, 66, told The Mirror: "He told me he was very worried about her. He admitted they both drank and did drugs but that came as no surprise.

"It was bought on by all her excesses. Yes, work is one of them, but there's the drink and drugs too. She's got to get a grip on herself before it's too late."

He added: "Amy is besotted by Blake. She's much happier when he's there and he wants to help her.

"Blake's a good influence on her. But Amy is a very, very strong personality and I just wonder how much influence he can exert over her."

Amy, who had a hit with the song Rehab, has won a host of awards this year for her album Back to Black and is hotly tipped to pick up the Mercury Music Prize.
