Blues lovers are in for a treat this month when The Errol Linton Blues Band will be performing at The Colour House Theatre.

Errol Linton, three times winner of Blues Harp Player of the year, will be bringing his own trademark British blues style to the stage with a Caribbean twist – a nod to his own heritage.

Errol released his first album Vibin' It in 1998 and in 1991 a chance meeting with John Walters, a BBC Radio 2 producer, led to a radio session on the Andy Kershaw Show.

In 1993 Errol was featured alongside Big Bill Broonzy in BBC 2's documentary, Two Generations of the Blues.

Errol has since opened the show for acts including Screaming Jay Hawkins, Bo Diddley, Dr John and Blind Boys of Alabama. His most recent album 'Mama Said' was voted in the top 10 of blues CDs of 2011 in Mojo Magazine.

The Errol Linton Blues Band will be performing at the riverside venue as part of the new monthly Saturday Night Live Music Club promoted by Shades of Soul.

On the last Saturday of each month the riverside venue will play host to an array of musical acts from jazz, blues and soul.
