Are you a lord of the dance in disguise? The legend that is Michael Flatley is launching a series of dance classes in south London.

The Michael Flatley Dance Academy will teach the famous man’s signature Irish dance to children and teenagers of all levels at classes across south London from this autumn.

The sessions will be taught by Lord of the Dance performers James Breen and Sarah Redmond alongside Simona Mauriello and Ellie O’Sullivan, who were all personally selected for Flatley’s farewell tour this spring.  There will also be guest teachers, including Lord of the Dance stars.

These are the first classes in Flatley’s plans to take his Dance Academy global in the next five years.

Mr Flatley said: “After touring the world for over 20 years and seeing the joy on people’s faces, I’m delighted to open the first ever Michael Flatley DANCE Academy that will teach my unique show style Irish Dance technique to children and dancers of all ages and genres.”

In south London there are one-hour classes at YMCA John Innes Centre in Wimbledon starting from September 12, Morden Assembly Hall from September 15, St Luke’s Church in Kew from September 14, Chatham Hall in Wandsworth from September 17, at Westside School in Hammersmith from September 16 and the Congregational Church in Staines from September 13.
