I would like to commend Sutton's Tory council members for not taking the laptops and for not adding to the tax burden.
This is another shocking example of how out of touch the Lib Dem council leaders are.
It is insulting that we, as residents, have to work our backsides off all year round to pay the extortionate local council tax so it can be frittered away like this.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read about these costly computer perks so soon after my council tax went up again, council executives were given huge pay rises and a £35 charge for my garden waste collections was introduced.
The cost is going up but the service is depleting. Sutton's council is fortunate it's not a business - because it wouldn't have any customers.
