It is delightful news that 12 Stanwell primary school teaching assistants have been presented with national awards after completing a course aimed at supporting children with their work.
A 100 per cent pass rate is an outstanding achievement.
As a regular visitor to both schools, a school governor at Town Farm for 16 years and as a former pupil of both Town Farm and a predecessor of Stanwell Fields - St Anne's, it gives me extra pleasure to see this success.

A good education has always been important in life, but even more so today in a global labour market where increasingly it is ability and not borders that are the determinant of success.
If it hadn't been for good teachers in Stanwell, I wouldn't be in the position I am today to assist fellow residents.
