Many parents have been disappointed with the schools that their children have been allocated this year.
In some parts of the capital, nearly half of all children were turned away from their first choice of school.
All education authorities have a process for parents to appeal against their decisions on school allocation and I am pleased to tell you that the Legal Services Commission can help.
The LSC funds a number of specialist solicitors to offer specialist legal advice to people on benefits and low incomes.
Readers can find details of education law experts on our website communitylegaladvice.org.uk or by contacting 0845 345 4345.
The site has details of appeal procedures and a leaflet that parents can download for free.
