Talking about nuclear disarmament
People sometimes talk as if - with the end of the Cold War in the 1990s - nuclear weapons had become "so last year".

I'd heard that Kingston Council was strapped for cash after paying for the Rose Theatre, New Malden High Street and the long ongoing repairs, plus having to put so much by for the council's gold-plated pension fund, but I didn't realise how bad things were until it started targeting household parking.

Drive charge is a headache
Those living just outside Kingston have little to worry about Brian Paddick's pledge to introduce a £10 charge for driving into the greater London area.
